BRMs Build on Foundation of Partnership

In 2021, eBITS’ Business Relationship Team focused on developing strategic partnerships with enterprise systems users in Colleges, Schools, Units (CSUs) across campus, Business Process Offices, and within eBITS. Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) build partnerships with campus by acting as a point of contact, helping offices manage their interactions with BPOs and technical teams. They also assist with efforts to connect with campus by serving as customer advocates on project teams and facilitating discovery, training, and other forms of outreach. BRMs piloted this approach for the Time Improvement Project by coordinating and facilitating working group meetings between eBITS, HR, and end-users from across campus to identify pain points in Time and Absence processes in Workday and pinpoint targeted solutions to address identified needs. The BRM team successfully replicated this practice during the Workday Salary Adjustment business process rollout, which required CSUs to integrate new Workday security roles and processes with existing internal processes. BRMs also responded to requests from campus to update the process of requesting operational support services from askUS Support. To help campus manage requests and approvals in a remote or hybrid work environment, BRM and support team members worked together with the UT DocuSign team to develop DocuSign-based request forms for operational support services.
